Sensei Michael Wax

Sensei Wax has been involved in the martial arts for over 13 years and currently holds a third-degree black belt in the style of Chang-Han Tae Kwon Do and is currently studying Gracie Jiu-jitsu. He has competed in creative forms, weapons, and traditional forms at the state, national, and world level for several years earning numerous titles. Sensei Wax also holds an Instructor Certificate from the International Martial Arts Group. In addition, Sensei Wax participated in competitive cheerleading with the CU Buffs for 2 years.

Sensei Wax was the middle school science teacher at Flagstaff Academy after receiving his degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and still holds a professional teaching license.

Sensei Shelby Wax

Mrs. Wax, who holds a third-degree black belt in Chang-Han Tae Kwon Do, has studied numerous styles of martial arts, including Shudokan karate, kickboxing, and Gracie Jiu-jistu for over 18 years. She has competed at the national and international levels in sparring, weapons, and forms. Mrs. Wax also holds an Instructor Certificate from the International Martial Arts Group.

Mrs. Wax has taught business and technology at Carbon Valley Secondary Academy, Longmont High School, and Erie High School with her degrees (BA + MA) from Colorado State University and the University of Colorado at Boulder. She still holds a professional teaching license.
